Clinic Information

Joint Medical offers a wide variety of services directed by our Board Certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician. We all work together as a team to heal patients faster by combining our area of expertise. Services we offer are:

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physicians specialize in the musculokeletal system, nervous system, and the brain. Injuries and illnesses are treated nonsurgically to reduce pain and restore function.

At Joint Medical, after a medical consultation with the physician, a treatment plan is prescribed that may include rehabilitation exercise, chiropractic care, massage therapy, intersegmental traction, diathermy, electrical muscle stimulation, ultrasound, and trigger point injection therapy. Each patient is given functional goals to achieve and is taken through four unique stages of treatment: relief, corrective, strengthening, and wellness by the medical staff as a teamwork approach to healing the cause of pain.

Rehabilitation Exercise

Therapeutic exercises are prescribed to increase range of motion, flexibility, stability, strength, and neuromuscular re-education. Patients are taught basic anatomy, biomechanics, proper posture, and are given a home exercise program targeted to their specific needs. Joint Medical combines traditional therapy exercise with pilates, yoga, balance, resistance training, and cardiovascular training to promote the healing process.

Chiropractic Care

Spinal alignment is essential in order to achieve proper muscle balance, nerve integration, and structural integrity throughout the body. All patients receive a comprehensive examination including x-rays if clinically indicated before any chiropractic procedure is done, therefore ensuring effectiveness of treatment. Many different chiropractic techniques are used depending on the patients needs to promote joint mobility, increased range of motion, and function restoration.

Massage Therapy

Muscular balance can be further developed by adding massage therapy to patient treatment plans. Myofacial release, trigger point therapy, deep tissue, and sports massage are used to help relieve pain, restore function, and prevent future pain.

Electrodiagnostics

At Joint Medical, we sometimes perform electromyography and nerve conduction studies to properly diagnose patients' pain. These two methods test the electrical signals in the nerves and muscles for injury or illness that can cause any nerve or muscle impairments.
